    Description

This paper discusses the role of business process oriented knowledge management in facilitating work based learning (WBL) projects. We claim that an integrated learning and business process model may be helpful for the representation, communication, and use of knowledge about and within business processes among teachers, employers, employees, and other stakeholders involved in WBL projects. We present a business process oriented knowledge management approach to develop methods and software tools to manage problem-oriented and context-sensitive knowledge created and used in WBL projects. In particular, we discuss two important issues to realize the business process oriented knowledge management approach: process modeling language and knowledge management services.
