Description

Presentation for the National Program Heerlen-Noord on the VERLICHT project, with a focus on systematic literature reviews:
- What are systematic literature reviews, and what can they be used for?
- How can you search for systematic literature reviews yourself?
- What do they look like? Example from the VERLICHT project: Financial Literacy Programs in School Settings: A Scoping Review.
- How does a systematic literature review fit into a larger research project?

The main take-home message for you is to remember how to quickly search for systematic literature reviews on topics that are important for your work. Systematic literature reviews provide a summary of the scientific literature at a given time, and because the results of multiple studies are combined in systematic literature reviews, they offer stronger and more generalized conclusions. This way, you can quickly get a more complete and reliable overview of the scientific literature.

P.S. In the VERLICHT project, we use a new research method, developed by Gjalt-Jorn Peters, that ensures the databases associated with systematic literature reviews remain up-to-date (so-called 'living systematic literature reviews'). They don’t become outdated because we continuously update them. Additionally, they are open access, making them available for anyone to use worldwide.
