Science communication is something you do together: dialogue, co-creation, and connection between residents and researchers within the National Programme Heerlen-Noord.

Description

In a disadvantaged neighbourhood in the Netherlands, many interventions are being implemented. Researchers at the Open University are studying how these interventions are unfolding: what is working well, and where there is room for improvement. So far, however, residents have heard little about what the research has found.

We want to talk with residents about what they would like to know about research in their neighbourhood and how they would prefer to be kept informed. Building on their advice, residents and researchers will work together on effective, accessible science communication.
