Description
A delegation of the Committee of Experts of the European Charter for Regional or Minority Languages (ECRML) of the Council of Europe will carry out an on-the-spot visit to the Netherlands to monitor the application of the Charter by the Dutch authorities in October 2019. The delegation plans to meet with various stakeholders, i.e. minority languages’ speakers and NGOs, linguists and lawyers working on the ECRML implementation in the Netherlands, public authorities at different levels and other concerned persons. TheECRML Secretariat invited me to attend a meeting on the situation of Papiamento, to be held in Maastricht on 15 October 2019 in the afternoon.
