From Beliefs to Action: Examining the Domain-Specific Mediating Role of Mindset-Related Behaviours in the Relationship Between Mindset Beliefs and Academic Achievement in Mathematics and Language Among Primary School Students

This dataset contains survey and academic achievement data from 421 Dutch primary school students (aged 8–12) examining the relationship between growth mindset beliefs, intrinsic motivation, mindset-related behaviours, and achievement in mathematics and language. Measures include questionnaires on mindset beliefs, intrinsic motivation, and five behaviours (embracing challenges, learning from mistakes, effort, help-seeking, and self-monitoring), combined with standardized test scores. The dataset supports research on behavioural and motivational pathways linking growth mindset to academic performance across domains.
