Organisation profile

Layman's description

Social learning is learning from and with each other in different situations. Social learning can take place in small and large groups, in learning communities and in networks. With the advent of the computer and the internet social learning can take place online or blended, in addition to face-to-face, using electronic platforms to communicate and collaborate.

The Social Learning Department of the Faculty of Educational Sciences focuses its research on the conditions of collaborative learning in small groups within educational contexts and in the workplace within professional learning communities and in learning networks in face-to-face, blended, and online settings.
