Layman's description
The Faculty of Humanities works at the heart of society and attaches value to the fact that the research conducted at the Faculty links with contemporary issues in societal and social context, thus contributing to the public debate. Through the cultural sciences we can help gain insights into the impact of social change on individuals, communities and their meaning. In this way we want to give direction to the analysis of modern problems and dilemmas.
The academic staff of the Faculty of Humanities conducts research within the Department of Cultural Studies. The key research themes are defined within the Research Program Value and Valuation of Culture (VVC).
