The (inter)disciplinary research program Law in Transition (LIT) focuses on tackling some of the modern societal challenges in order to build resilient social systems. All disciplines that are represented within the Faculty of Law of the Open Universiteit contribute to the program.
Turning points
In 2023 the program entered a new phase. In order to strengthen the true interdisciplinary nature of the research the focus is directed on three specific societal challenges in which turning points are a central theme:
1. Security, privacy and autonomy
2. Safety in urban environments
3. Sustainable transformations
The interdisciplinary research will have a basis in the disciplinary research:
1. Administrative law
2. Constitutional law and encyclopedia
3. Criminal law
4. Private law, in particular insurance law and financial law
