Eduardo Arenas Catalán is an Assistant Professor at the Open University in the Department of Criminal, International, and European Law. Arenas Catalán's main research interest lies in the intersection between human rights under international law and social justice. Prior to joining the Open University, he worked as a lecturer at Leiden Law School and at the Utrecht School of Law in the field of European and international human rights law. Eduardo grew up and studied law in Chile. He obtained both his LRM (cum laude) and Ph.D. from Utrecht University.
