Research interests
My research theme is improving learning in educational practice. The basis for this is research in cognitive psychology about how learning works. Together with my research team I investigate the effect of different learning and teaching strategies in educational practice. Examples of these strategies are retrieval practice and distributed practice. My aim is to investigate and develop evidence-informed tools that students and teachers can use to improve learning in offline, online and blended contexts.
