Personal profile

Research interests

I am an atmospheric scientist and assistant professor at the Department of Environmental Science, Open Universiteit (NL). My research aims to better understand the sources, the concentrations, and the effects of air pollution by synergistic use of satellite observations and modelling tools. I am particularly interested in the synergistic use of various information sources and AI techniques to generate new understanding. I spent the past decades applying my skills to evaluate the impact of human activities on air pollution and its adverse effect on climate, health.
