Research interests

My research explores the potentials and limitations of environmental policy and planning in the perspective of adaptive governance and sustainability. It focuses on innovation and evolution in governance, paying attention to the dynamics of policy implementation and integration, multi-level governance, stakeholder involvement, and the performance of institutional structures. The research covers various policy domains including nature conservation, spatial planning, and tourism development and has been carried out in a different countries, including the Netherlands, Belgium, United Kingdom, United States, Romania and Georgia.
