Long-term leasehold rights from a comparative property law perspective

A literature review of comparative property law identifies relevant legal systems for a micro-comparative study of the law and legal practice on long-term leasehold rights. The lege ferenda-aim of the study is to identify possible solutions for leasehold problems occurring in Dutch law. Three major subjects to be studied are regulation of the ground rent, rights of pre-emption and limitations in use. The first legal system to be studied in detail is Norwegian law, with a focus on the background of the law on tomtefeste from 1975, later changes and jurisprudence.
