Stiftelsen GRID-Arendal "Barents Sea Leadership Training on Marine Litter"

The "Barents Sea Leadership Training on Marine Litter" project is designed to 1) increase the knowledge, capacity and awareness of Russian and Norwegian actors from the Barents Region on the topic of marine litter, and 2) stimulate action through the discussion of relevant actions that could become part of future local and sub-regional action plans in the Barents Sea region, which can furthermore 3) provide important contributions to the Arctic Council's ongoing process to develop an Arctic Regional Action Plan on Marine Litter. Meanwhile, the project will promote 4) increasing cooperation in the environmental realm between the two countries.
