Antecedents of logistics performance and economic performance: The case of radio frequency identification

    Abstract


    Radio Frequency Identification is an information technology that has gained a lot of attention inretail supply chains recently. This research investigates the perception of 156 suppliers of differentindustries, mainly from China and Hong Kong, to examine the relationship between RFID relatedperformance antecedents, logistics performance and economic performance.Results reveal that trust and commitment have a positive influence on logistics performance whilelogistics performance in turn positively influences economic firm performance. No relationship wasobserved between information based capabilities and logistics performance.
