Abstract
This paper describes a UK project that aims to define a vocabulary and suitable technology
bindings (e.g. XML / RDF) for describing course-related information that encompasses course
marketing, course quality assurance, enrolment, reporting and personal development
requirements. The project is known as XCRI (eXchanging Course-Related Information) and is
funded by the JISC (Joint Information Systems Committee) under its E-Learning Framework
