    Abstract

Generative Artificial Intelligence (GenAI) tools are among the most attractive tools for technology-enhanced learning in higher education. Several studies
investigated students’ and teachers’ perceptions of the application of GenAI in higher education. However, most measures are generic and not about specific
teaching and learning activities, especially assessment and feedback. To address this research gap, we will carry out survey research with students and
teachers from a distance-learning university in the Netherlands. The data collection will commence in February-March, and we will report the findings at the
conference. Our study will provide a more comprehensive picture of the perceptions of students and teachers in relation to feedback and assessment which can
inform research and practice on the application of GenAI tools for assessment purposes in higher education.
