Abstract

This chapter aims to provide the reader with an overview of the current research state and practical insights into how animals may be incorporated into psychotherapy. Within this context, the authors will also provide suggested guidelines to ensure quality control for both the client and the animal's safety. Case studies will be incorporated to illustrate how the interventions can be applied.
