Abstract
Since 2010 we see a strong increase in the number of transgender individuals reporting to their general practitioners for a referral for a gender reassignment procedure (transition). In most cases the situation is clear and referral is easy. Sometimes however, it is difficult to recognize and distinguish gender dysphoria and to indicate the best treatment. We demonstrate this in 3 complex client cases.
