Research output: Chapter in Book/Report/Conference proceedingChapterAcademicpeer-review

Abstract

In this contribution the entitlements of people fleeing from Ukraine to the Netherlands are researched. These entitlements are based on the Temporary Protection directive of the EU. Firstly the implementation of this directive in Dutch legislation is described, followed by some remarks about the scope of the protection, the procedure to acquire protection and the legal remedies in case of refusal of the status of displaced person. Subsequently, several social policy measures in respect of social entitlements are researched: housing, financial support, healthcare and education. Finally, this contribution gives insight in the way access to the labour market for displaced persons from Ukraine is organised in the Netherlands.
