    Abstract

    This chapter focuses on the influence of the Court on the development of the law relating to the UN. It considers the impact of the Court's findings with respect to the interpretation of the UN Charter, and the functioning and status of the UN as an international organization. It examines the Court's contribution to understanding the functioning of the UN's principal organs, and considers the Court's treatment of the powers and functions of the UN's non--judicial organs, in particular the Security Council and the General Assembly.
