Think and Do Tank (TaDT): A Participatory Workshop to Co-Create Digital Education Futures

How can we collaboratively shape future-proof, inclusive, and learner-driven digital education across Europe? This workshop invites participants to discuss with the emerging Think and Do Tank (TaDT) initiative of the OpenEU Alliance — a multi-stakeholder platform bringing together students, educators, EdTech experts, and researchers to identify and act upon the key trends in digitally-enabled higher education. Participants will experience a co-creation and debate workshop of the TaDT, including a moderated exploration of priority themes such as AI, immersive environments, microcredentials, digital inclusion, and assessment. Through rapid, structured small-group activities, the session will elicit diverse perspectives on what learners expect from the future of digital education, how institutions can adapt to emerging technologies and pedagogies,and how to engage broad communities in shaping education policy and practice. The workshop aims to surface actionable insights and shared priorities, contributing to the ongoing development of the OpenEU Innovation Agenda. Outcomes will be documented and shared with the European Research Cluster for Digitally-enabled Education and other relevant policy and practice communities.
