Fré Dommisse worstelde lang met het imago van voormalig psychiatrisch patiënt. Nu is er – bijna honderd jaar na de eerste druk uit 1929 – een nieuwe editie van haar debuut Krankzinnigen. Irene Geerts schreef over de destigmatiserende werking van deze autobiografische en tijdloze roman.
