Data analytics (DA) is an evolving capability that goes beyond traditional reporting and dashboarding. It helps businesses achieve their goals by providing data reporting and creating predictive models. Organizations that effectively manage their data can gain competitive advantages through new business models, data-driven insights, and optimized business values. However, many organizations face challenges in realizing the full potential of DA due to a lack of data analytics governance. This leads to issues such as misalignment between management and practitioners and the creation of separate data silos. Inadequate setup and support for DA activities also pose risks to privacy, quality, and security. The research objective is to identify the decision domains for data analytics governance (DAG) within organizations.
